About Me
I'm a software developer and system administrator living in Iowa. I have extensive experience developing and maintaining software for a number of different platforms (GNU-Linux, Windows, Web, iOS) written in various programming languages (C/C++, C#, JavaScript, Java, PostgreSQL, Python ).
I've worked as a System Administrator at several start-up companies. I have experience configuring and maintaining software services on Windows Server and GNU/Linux (Ubuntu, Alma/RedHat, AMI ). I administer Windows and Linux (Ubuntu and Red Hat) servers, AWS resources, and Azure servers for several clients.
I have a general interest in making things (writing computer programs, drawing, playing with electronics, etc). Lately I've been playing with new-old tech. 6502 and 68000 Assembly, cc65, SGDK, and FujiNet.
About This Website
This blog is just a hobby. Every few years I completely recreate it as a learning exercise. The current version is generated by Zola and uses the duckquill theme.
Pevious versions have been written in C#/Blazor and ASP.NET, NodeJS/ExpressJS, NestJS and ReactJS, PHP/Laravel (long ago), and HTML and JavaScript (very long ago).
